ENLASO Corporation, a leading provider of
translation and localization solutions, today announced that it is very
pleased to see the publication of the "Internationalization Tag Set (ITS)
Version 1.0" specification as a W3C Recommendation. ITS is a set of
elements and attributes designed to provide support for
internationalization and localization in XML documents and schemas
(http://www.w3.org/TR/its/). ENLASO's Yves Savourel participated on the W3C
ITS Working Group to develop the specification.
ITS provides ready-to-use features that new XML document types can directly
integrate through the use of namespaces. It also provides ways to apply
properties, such as identifying segments for translation, to existing XML
documents without changing them.

Mobile audio is a
promising opportunity that has not yet been fully exploited. That is the
conclusion of a landmark study by Arbitron (NYSE: ARB) and Telephia that
examines the evolving market for mobile audio services from the consumer
point of view in terms of current usage patterns, attitudes and
preferences.
Key findings from the study include:
"There is an opportunity for wireless providers, programmers and marketers
to develop an advertising model for mobile audio," said Wayman Leung,
senior product manager, Telephia. "Most current mobile audio users prefer
the ad-supported model over paying a subscription fee. And this group is a
very attractive demographic for advertisers to target as it's comprised
mainly of affluent, tech-savvy early adopters."

New media is changing the way we communicate,
yet Inland Empire marketers have not kept pace with new technologies when
it comes to incorporating blogs and social networking into their marketing
efforts, according to the 2007 Inland Empire Marketing Best Practices study
conducted by Wilkin Guge Marketing with support from The Business Press and
The Press-Enterprise.
Although widespread adoption of new media has not been integrated,
respondents do recognize its future importance. Over 75% of the region's
marketers view the Internet as a tactical or strategic tool to achieve
marketing goals but rarely utilize social networks or find blogging to be
an effective marketing tool.
