Discera, Inc., a world leader in CMOS MEMS oscillators, resonators, and provider of next-generation timing solutions, today announced that Tyco Electronics' M/A-COM, a leading provider of wireless radio frequency (RF), microwave and millimeter wave components and systems, has qualified Discera's MEMS-based oscillator series, MOS1, for use in their telemetry transmitters. M/A-COM qualified Discera's device after a series of tests as an alternative to quartz crystal in building timing components.

Barclays Global Investors announced today the appointment of Sue Thompson as the new National Sales Manager of the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Team for the U.S. iShares Business. In this role, Ms. Thompson manages a team of 12 who focus on educating RIAs about how to utilize iShares Funds in their clients' portfolios. Ms. Thompson was formerly with Vanguard where she headed the National Full Service Broker/Dealer Sales team for Vanguard's Financial Advisor Services.
